Yesterday, DHX celebrated the completion of Littlest Pet Shop's 52nd episode with this cake given to the staff.

What does this mean for the show? A second season is already on its way, and we have no reason to believe it will stop there!

Season 2 Confirmed

It may not be any Half-Life 3, but it's the next best thing!

A 2013 credit list of Daniel Ingaram (LPS Composer) and Top Draw Animation's website (the company that animates LPS) have confirmed that the show has 52 episodes that have either already aired, have yet to air, or are in-production. This tells us two things:
- This season, Season 1, will have 26 episodes
- A 2nd season is on its way, also with 26 episodes

The Hub wouldn't have made a second season if it wasn't successful, so thanks and congratulations to all of you for that!

Who knows what this second season will bring. Petter-centered plots? More references for adults (as if there weren't enough already)? Amazing season premieres/season finales? How about GUEST STARS??? Only time will tell.

Turns out that LPS has its own tvtropes page*, and someone/some people have been updating it diligently, even up until last Saturday's episode!

There's a lot of cool stuff to read there! So last Saturday's episode, "Trading Places" has still not been posted yet on Littlest Pet Shop, Vol. 1, but it looks like this Saturday's episode, "Topped with Buttercream, is released on Littlest Pet Shop, Vol. 2 (see below). A tremendous derp, if I do say so myself.

If you would like to download "Topped with Buttercream", and host it on YouTube and share it with others, that's fine. For the sake of keeping Saturday awesome though, we are going to avoid posting it. 

So what is the point in this post then if mean old PSI is waiting until Saturday? A warning really! Be careful what you click on for the next few days if you want to avoid spoilers and keep the usual Saturday HD celebration intact.

New LPS Game on Hubworld.com: "Superstar Spotlight"

It doesn't look like we're going to get a promo or clip from tomorrow's episode, but we do have a newly released online game on Hubworld.com, "Superstar Spotlight", apparently the first game on the site to include this generation of LPS.

The basic idea of this game is that you are given a certain number of seconds to memorize where on the screen some of the LPS pets are located, and then, once those seconds are up, you need to locate where on the now-black screen one certain pet was. You can click on the black screen, and a certain color dot will appear where you clicked; the color meter at the top left of the screen lets you know if you're "Hot" or "Cold" in relation to the location you're looking for, but you only have a certain number of clicks for the whole game! If you get really stuck, you can click on the Hint button that appears when you have less than 5 clicks left. Complete all 5 levels to win the game!
