Penny For Your Laughs - Discussions/Streams

What could Pepper possibly say that could offend the other pets? And why does Penny Ling seem to be the most affected (in this picture and in the promo)? What's Pepper got against pandas??

  1. Aw, I liked Pepper's new schtick! But she and Penny are adorable together.

  4. Gotta say, I was really impressed. The 'A' story of Pepper's insult comedy was similar to the 'B' story with Blythe and the Biskits, but they never actually felt like they were infringing on each other in terms of plot or the moral lesson up until the very end of the episode.

Plus, Daniel Ingram gave us two great little musical numbers in one episode! And the animation team really proved how versatile they can be with expressions and body language. Penny Ling and Pepper were the most adorable miserable bundles of fur in this episode.

P.S. I can't believe I didn't notice this reference earlier in the series: When Pepper moves, occasionally she bounces around on all fours. The fact that she's a skunk is no coincidence, as the reference is to the old Pepe le Pew cartoons back in the day!

(Yes, I realize that they do the same thing with Pinkie Pie in MLP, but this one stood out to me a little more due to species relevance)
